Austin had gotten to the point where he was bleeding 2-5 times a day and couldn't go to school. His local ENT said it couldn't be cauterized anymore and referred us to an ENT in Nashville that did more extensive work, including a septal dermoplasty. The ENT in Nashville evaluated Austin and did a septoplasty and he's recovered so well! His thinking was that by completely separating the tissue from the bone and cartilage, and then packing it with clotting material before putting the tissue back, it would force one huge scar, instead of incremental scars and new bleeding spots. So far, so good.
